The Beginners category has been developed to allow riders without any competition experience to get involved with scootering.
The only skill based criteria for this category is that riders must be competent in riding their scooter without assistance, and should have at least a few hours worth of skatepark experience. Tricks are not expected, but some basic level skills such as x-ups, tweaks, 180s and maybe even a tail whip, may be a nice touch to include in your run.
Riders in this category are prohibited from having any sponsors and must be new to competition riding. If you have a sponsor then you are to place yourself into the appropriately aged Intermediate category, unless this is a Pro Sponsorship, then you will need to register within the Pro/Elite Section.
A rider or parent who knowingly enters themselves or their child into this category and is clearly not new to competition shall be asked to move up into the intermediates category based on the discretion of the ScootGB judges.
